How to Propagate Aloe Vera

How to Propagate Aloe Vera

The offsets that develop at the base of the plant are the best way to propagation.

1. Pick up   gloves, a trowel, a pot, and a cactus medium.

The pot   should be filled with a potting mix.

The pups   can be found at the base of the mother plant. Use a trowel to pry up the      pup and sever the tap root that connects it to the mother. Some people      might have no roots at all. All will grow great, either way.

The pup  should be laid flat and dried in a sunny window for a few days to make      sure there aren't any broken cuts.

The pup  needs to be planted in the pot to cover any roots. Underneath the main      crown is where the leaves fan out.

1. Water the plant and place   it in a sunny window. It might take three to four months for roots to      grow. Be patient and be patient.
