How to Care for Gerbera Daisies

1. Provide potted, bright, all-day sunlight in the spring, summer and fall. Provide them with at least three to five hours of morning and afternoon sunlight.

If they want their best growth and flowering, keep their room's temperature around 70 degrees. There is no damage to the daisies when the temperature is between 40 and 70 degrees.

When the top 1/2 inch of the soil begins to dry, water the daisies. Plants need to be watered every five days. After each watering session, take the water out of the pot's tray.

Don't allow the soil to dry completely but reduce the amount of water you give the plants.

There is a 15-5-15 blend that can be mixed with water. For the daisies' pot size, use the recommended water dilution rate.

When the daisies are active in the spring and summer, you should water them once each month.

The daisies' spent flower heads need to be torn off. Any time is a good time to cut back dead and damaged foliage.
